Step into the enchanting world of Mammoth Cave after dark and discover the wonder of long-extinct megafauna!
Learn about the extinct megafauna that once roamed the region as you move through the cave, where their fossils were discovered more than 100 years ago. This limited-time night tour offers a rare chance to explore Mammoth Cave after dark.
As night falls, you’ll encounter lifelike replicas of these ancient megafauna and hear stories of their lives and environments.
The journey continues through the karri forest by torchlight, revealing the hidden sounds and sights of the forest at night.
- A torch or headlamp is essential
- Warm clothing and comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for walking stairs
- A raincoat if rain is forecast
- You’re welcome to bring a water bottle, but no other food or drinks are allowed inside the cave
- The caves are delicate and fragile. For conservation and safety reasons, we encourage you to limit the items you bring inside. Please leave backpacks in the car
