About the Experience

A beacon of light where the Southern and Indian Oceans meet. Situated at the most south-westerly point of Australia, on one of the world’s three great capes, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia. Discover its maritime history and admire the vast seascape and untamed coastline.

What to expect

Our fully-guided tours will take you to the top of this historic lighthouse, where you’ll learn fascinating stories about the lightkeepers, the region’s maritime heritage, and the tower’s unique craftsmanship.

From the top, you can take in spectacular views of the cape and its rugged coastline. Between May and August, you might even spot whales during their northern migration.

The Interpretive Centre, located in one of the original lighthouse keepers’ cottages. provides a detailed look into the history of the lighthouse and the lives of the families who once called this remote cape home.

Please note: Children must be a minimum age of four to join the lighthouse tour and climb the lighthouse.

Our guided lighthouse tours reveal the fascinating maritime history of the region. The Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse is one of the most popular attractions in the region. An easy climb of just 59 steps, visitors to the tower balcony are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views.

Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse guided tours offer fascinating insight into the functions of a working lighthouse, the extraordinary maritime history of the Cape region and what life was like as a lightkeeper. An easy climb of just 59 steps, visitors to the tower balcony are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Indian Ocean, Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park, and Geographe Bay.

The Lightkeepers’ Museum, housed in one of the original lightkeepers’ cottages, is an immersive experience sharing the captivating stories of maritime history, shipwrecks, and the dedicated individuals who have protected our coastline since 1904. Historical artifacts and interactive technology bring to life the isolation and resilience of the lighthouse keepers and the remarkable engineering and enduring legacy of this historic lighthouse, which has guided maritime traffic for over 120 years.

The accessible observation platform at the lighthouse’s base also offers sweeping ocean views and scenic photo opportunities. Between September and December whales are often seen from the tower and the observation platform as they migrate along the coastline.

About the Experience

Explore lush native bushland and encounter over 40 captivating birds of prey. Only 5 minutes from Margaret River centre. During our twice-daily Birds of Prey Encounters, you will learn about the birds’ natural behaviours and unique sensory abilities used to track and catch prey; you can even have your photograph taken with an owl!

What to Expect

Capes Raptor Centre provides the main care and rehabilitation facility for birds of prey in Western Australia and offers a permanent home to over 40 raptors, including Eagles, Hawks, Falcons and Owls which are unable to return to the wild, with many more birds rehabilitated and released each year.

A 1km bush walk among native flora allows visitors to view aviaries housing resident diurnal and nocturnal birds of prey, it is an ideal walk for spotting wildflowers and orchids during spring, you can explore the bush land sanctuary before or after the Bird of Prey Encounter.

Forest Adventures Inclusions and Restrictions

  • Participants must be over 7 years of age and at least 110cm tall.
  • Participants under 16 years old must always be directly supervised by an adult (17 years+) who has read and agreed to the supervision requirements.
  • For every two participants who are 7 or 8 years of age, there must be one participating adult.
  • For every six participants who are 9 to 16 years of age, there must be one adult present (they are not required to participate in a climb).

About the Experience

Adrenaline-filled fun on high ropes and flying foxes, set high among the majestic trees of the Ludlow Tuart Forest. You can hang around in the trees, balance on the suspended bridges, climb the ladders and fly along up to 11 flying foxes – with some spanning over 150 metres! Have fun with the whole family and challenge your friends on six unique courses for every level of adrenaline and fitness!

What to Expect

A combination the South West’s supreme environment and world-class European standards for safety and design – Forest Adventures is one of the best of its kind! Many of our activities are unique within Australia, six huge courses combine rope and wire challenges to supply 2.5 hours of pure fun!

This amazing adventure park spans eight acres of unspoiled natural bushland. Your session begins with harnessing, safety training, and a practice course before progressing to one of our main courses. Courses vary in height and difficulty, ranging from 3 meters to 19 meters off the ground, offering something for every adventure seeker.

Start your adventure on Course 1, 2, or 3 to build your confidence before taking on our more challenging courses. Climb to 19 meters, the highest point in the park, before ziplining around the top and concluding with a 150m zipline – a total of over 500 meters of zipline. Test your abilities on our Advanced and Adrenaline courses by rock climbing up the wall or tree before confronting the toughest challenges in the park, including the mentally challenging leap of faith to return to the ground.

During your 2.5-hour session, you can expect to complete 2-3 courses, including safety training. Qualified supervisors are always present throughout the park to ensure both fun and safety.

About the Experience

Jewel Cave is the largest cave open to the public in Western Australia. The size and beauty of WA’s largest publicly accessible cave is breathtaking. Exploring three immense chambers, you’ll find towering crystal formations and delicate stalactites that took thousands of years to develop.

What to Expect

Fully guided one-hour tours highlight the magnitude and intricacy of Jewel Cave. Your guide will use lighting to emphasise crystal formations like stalagmites, stalactites, straws, and shawls. Learn about the formation of cave systems, historical anecdotes, and the ancient tales of Tasmanian Tigers that once fell into the cave.

Complement your journey with a self-guided Karri Walk through the towering forest.

About the Experience

A magical experience and a dazzling visual display of some of nature’s finest work. Descend a staircase through an ancient sinkhole called a doline, through a sunken forest to reach this magnificent cave, featuring dripping formations and a beautifully reflective underground lake.

What to Expect

Fully guided one-hour tours take you into a pristine chamber beneath the karri forest. The tour starts with a visit to a spectacular sinkhole, known as a doline, before continuing into the cave chamber.

Once inside, your guide uses lighting to highlight various features within the cave while sharing interesting facts and stories. You will witness the rare ‘suspended table’ formation, a one-of-a-kind structure that hovers above a reflective lake.

This cave is the region’s most active ‘dripping’ cave, where droplets fall from delicate stalactites, creating ripples in the lake.

About the Experience

Uncover the fascinating history of Australian Megafauna amidst the serene beauty of a Karri and Marri Forest.

Nestled within the stunning karri and marri forest, Mammoth Cave is a site of incredible natural and historical significance. Once home to ancient fossils of Australia’s megafauna—giant animals that roamed the Earth before their extinction around 46,000 years ago—the cave offers a fascinating glimpse into the past. Don’t miss the 50,000-year-old zygomaticus jawbone, a relic of a large wombat-like herbivore, still embedded in the cave wall. Your visit concludes with a scenic walk through the serene marri and karri forest.

What to Expect

Self-guided audio tours, allow you to explore at your own pace while learning about the cave’s fascinating history and natural features. A gently sloping boardwalk and stairs guide you through the cave, where you’ll encounter crystal stalactites, stalagmites, and a seasonal stream that flows through the cave during winter. As you exit the cave, stairs lead you into a tranquil forest setting. The tour concludes with a peaceful walk through the marri and karri forest.

About the Experience

Wander along the Ancient Lands Experience pathway through native bushland to the entrance of the majestic Ngilgi Cave, where you can explore at your own pace.

A breathtaking journey through time begins above ground along the Ancient Lands Experience, a pathway winding through native bushland, where a series of interactive installations bring the creation of this remarkable place to life. Upon reaching the entrance to Ngilgi Cave, descend and explore its majestic stalactites, stalagmites, helictites, and beautifully coloured shawls at your own pace.

What to expect

The self-guided experience begins as you wander through the Ancient Lands pathways. As you explore, you’ll learn about:

  • cultural connections to the land,
  • the local flora and fauna,
  • and the formation of the pristine caves beneath the Leeuwin-Naturaliste limestone ridge.

Guides are positioned at the cave entrance and in the main chamber. They are on hand to assist you and share their knowledge.

The entire above and below-ground experience takes around 1.5 hours. If you opt for above-ground exploration only, allow around 30 minutes. There is also a nature-based play area for children at the final stop.
